Happy New Year! 🎊 Doesn’t 2018 already feel like a major improvement over 2017? Maybe that’s just me being so excited to kiss 2017 goodbye. But it’s a new year full of hope and new possibilities. I’m sure about 80% of you have “workout more” on your resolution list.
Hey I’m right there with you. I’m naturally someone who loves to workout, but I could definitely fit a few more gym sessions in this year. Plus I’m sure we all just need to detox from New Year’s Eve. To get us into gear, I’ve put together a super fun 80’s workout playlist for this month’s Tuesday Tunes that will make you want to get your Jazzercise on.
I know this is going to make me sound like I’m 30 years older than I am (although on the inside I am), but I can’t stand most workout playlists that are just full of Top 40 songs. I’m not a fan of the hippity hops, the rap music, or most pop. I do love me some Katy Perry though.
Being the old soul that I am, I’m always looking for a good 80’s or classic rock playlist. They’re far and few between, so today I’m sharing my favorite 80’s songs to workout to.
From Madonna and Prince to Depeche Mode and Joy Division, this playlist is full of 80’s pop and new wave hits. I tried to pull lesser played songs, but yes I did include two Flock of Seagull songs on there. Hey I love me some “I Ran.”
Now pull up those leg warmers and put on that sweatband. Let’s dance and sweat it out.
